Tour of Sultan Ahmet Area which is the heart of old city. You will meet with your guide at the hotel lobby between 08:15 – 08:45.

During the tour you will discover:

Blue Mosque: The Sultan Ahmet Mosque which is also known as Blue Mosque cause of its 20.000 marvellous blue iznik tiles is one of the greatest Temple of Islam was built between 1609 and 1619 by Sedefkar Mehmet Aga (pupil of architect Sinan) during the rule of Sultan Ahmet I. Historians believe that it is a perfect expression of Turkish Islamic Art. It is a unique mosque in the world which have 6 minarets.

Hippodrome: It was a horse-racing track and center of sporting, social and political activities of Constantinople which was the capital of Byzantine Empire. It is thought that Hippodrome held up to 80,000 people. Today it is called “Sultan Ahmet Square” (sometimes is also called “Horse Square”). You will be also to see the Fountain of wilhelon II, Obelisk Serpentine Column and etc.

Hagia Sophia: (Church of the Holy Wisdom) The first hill of Istanbul which was built in 537 by Byzantine Emperor Justinianus was the largest architectural construction of the world between 532 and 1453. It served as a “church” in 1453. When Constantinople was conquered by Ottoman Empire under Fatih Sultan Mehmet II, became “mosque” until 1931. It was reopened in 1935 as a museum by Ataturk. And today is a famous museum of Istanbul.

Turkish & Islamic Arts Museum: It was built in 1524 as the palace of Ibrahim Pasha - Grand Vizier and brother-in-law of Sultan Soliman the Magnificient, it is now a museum presenting notable examples of Islamic calligraphy, tiles, rugs as well as ethnographic displays of various cultıres in Turkey, particularly nomad groups.

How to Book
As soon as you know the tour you would like, the day of your visit, how many people will be with you and the pick up location, you can contact us by phone or fax, or via email by the reservation form.
To confirm the reservation, we will send you a mail order payment form and ask you to fill it and send us back with a copy your identity card and credit card via mail or fax. We accept Visa card or Mastercard and American Express. You can pay via bank account tranfer also to the bank account information that will be sent to you.

Payments
Balance payments should be received 30 days prior to departure. If the reservation is made less than 30 days before departure, a full payment must be made at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy
There will be no charge at all if you cancel at least 48 hours before the tour. For any cancellation the day before or on the day of the tour, the total price of the tour will be charged via the guarantee.

Reservation Deposit
Space may be secured upon receipt of deposit (25% of total cost). Deposits must be received within 7 days of booking. A reservation can be changed only if provided space is available. An entire reservation that is changed is considered a cancellation and will be subject to cancellation fees.

Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing and signed by the tour participant in the event that a tour participant cancels his or her reservation, the following fees will apply. Cancellation fees are agreed to be liquidated damages and are not considered a penalty. Cancellation received in writing by Kybele Tour more than 30 days prior to departure are subject to an administrative fee of 10 % of tour rate per person. If your request is received within 30 days, the following fees will apply.
